MS WORD

Introduction to Microsoft Word In this hands-on class, learn the basics of word processing including creating a document, saving, editing, formatting and much more.  Prerequisites:  Computer Kindergarten and or Basic Computer Knowledge

Intermediate Microsoft Word In this hands-on class, learn more about the world’s most popular word processing program, including formatting, using columns, tables, headers, footers, bullets, and much more.  Prerequisites:  Introduction to Microsoft Word or equivalent.

Advanced Microsoft Word In this hands-on class, learn advanced word processing features including, Autotext, AutoCorrect, References, Citations, Review features, including track changes. Prerequisites:  Introduction and Intermediate Word.

Microsoft Mail Merge – In this hands-on class, students will learn how mail merge is used to create multiple documents with identical layout, formatting, text, and graphics and produced in mass quantity. Learn how to use MS Word to create a mail merge for labels, form letters, envelopes, and emails.  Introduction to Word or equivalent.

How to Design a Resume in MS Word – In this hands-on class, students will learn how to create a resume template, using designs, setting up indents, margins, formatting and much more. Please note this class will not assist students with the content on their resume. Prerequisite – Intro to Word or equivalent.

Desktop Publishing In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to use you Microsoft Word, to create greeting cards, letterhead paper, transfer designs, newsletters, and much more.  Some of the many topics covered are graphics, textboxes, WordArt, fonts and much more. Prerequisites:  Computer Kindergarten and Introduction to Word or equivalent.

MS Word for Home Use – In this hands-on class, learn how to write a letter, create a newsletter and make a flyer/sign.  Learn how to edit and format text, layout a letter, work with graphics and much more. Computer Kindergarten and Introduction to Word or equivalent.

Create Holiday Greeting Cards: In this hands-on class, learn how to create a greeting card with MS Word using a photo from your computer, add specialty fonts, graphics, word art and more.  Prerequisites: For intermediate computer users.


MS EXCEL

Introduction to Microsoft Excel –  In this hands-on class, learn the basics of the world’s most popular spreadsheet program, including creating, editing and formatting worksheets, formulas, and much more.  Prerequisites:  Computer Kindergarten and 1st Grade or equivalent.

Intermediate Microsoft Excel  In this hands-on class, learn more about the world’s most popular spreadsheet program, including functions, working with ranges, macros, charting and much more.  Prerequisites:  Computer Kindergarten, Computer 1st Grade and Introduction to Microsoft Excel or equivalent.

Advanced Microsoft Excel Learn more advanced features of MS Excel, the world’s most popular spreadsheet program. Students will learn features including vLookup, data validation, subtotals and much more. Prerequisites: Computer Kindergarten and 1st Grade, Introduction and Intermediate Excel.

How to Manage Personal Finances using MS Excel Use your computer to help manage your personal finances: learn how to create a check register and format for a bank reconciliation, keep track of investments and expenses and create a simple database. Prerequisites: Computer Kindergarten, Computer 1st Grade OR basic knowledge of Excel

Introduction to Excel’s Pivot Tables  – Part 1 – Pivot tables are a powerful feature that enable you to manipulate, analyze, and present data.  In this hands-on class, you will learn how to sort, filter, group, count, summate, and format data easily and efficiently.  Prerequisites:  Introduction to Excel, Intermediate and Advanced Excel, or equivalent knowledge of Excel. 

Introduction to PivotCharts, Slicers and Dashboard – Part 2In this hands-on class, students will build on Part 1 and learn how to use pivotcharts and data slicers to show graphic visuals and filtering of their data. This is a continuation from Pivot Tables Part 1 – Prerequisite – Part 1 or equivalent knowledge with Excel.

How to Use Charts in Excel – In this hands-on class, you will learn how to create a spreadsheet in Excel and use your data to create a chart. Students will learn which charts work best, how to work with plot lines, titles and legends, as well as how to edit chart features. Prerequisite – Intro to Excel or equivalent.

Using Macros in Excel – In this hands-on class, you will learn how to create macros in Excel.  Students will learn the benefits of using macros, an automated way to complete repetitive tasks, and how to create a new macro as well as how to edit existing macros.  Prerequisite – Intro to Excel or equivalent.


MS PowerPoint

Introduction to PowerPoint Learn to create exciting computerized presentations, can be used as an aid in giving speeches and presentations. Work with computer animation and video as you learn the basics of creating a slideshow including creating, saving, editing, and formatting slides.  Prerequisites: Computer Kindergarten and 1st Grade or equivalent.

Intermediate PowerPoint Learn intermediate techniques in slide animation and graphics, transitions, formatting, adding multimedia objects, working with master slides and animation effects.  Prerequisites: Computer Kindergarten and 1st Grade, and Introduction to Microsoft PowerPoint or equivalent.


MS Publisher

Introduction to Microsoft Publisher – Learn how to create professional looking desktop publishing documents such as flyers, newsletters and brochures. Topics covered will include layout, formatting and much more. Prerequisites: For intermediate computer users. 


MS Access

Introduction to Microsoft Access Learn the basics of database design and management including planning and defining a database, understanding fields, records, tables and queries, and much more.  Prerequisites: Computer experience required. For intermediate and advanced computer users.

Intermediate Access Learn more about the popular database program, Microsoft Access. Topics include working with tables, forms, queries, filters and searches. Prerequisites: Introduction to Microsoft Access. For intermediate and advanced computer users. 


MS Office Tips & Tricks – In this hands-on class, you will learn the most popular Office functions that will help improve your skills for Word, Excel and PowerPoint.  Prerequisite: general knowledge of the programs. Intermediate users only.
