BEGINNER COMPUTER CLASSES FOR GROWNUPS

Computer Kindergarten for Grownups – This is a slow-paced, user-friendly class for first-time computer users. Using Windows computers, this unique class covers the basics in a way that even the most inexperienced user will understand. We will cover turning the computer on, the desktop, using the mouse, opening and closing programs, understanding windows elements, getting out of trouble, and turning the computer off. Prerequisites: None.
Computer 1st Grade for Grownups – In this hands-on class, you will learn how to use the popular word processing program, MS Word. Students will learn basic word processing skills, inputting, and erasing text as well as how to understand files and commands and much more. Prerequisites: Computer Kindergarten.
Computer 2nd Grade for Grownups – This hands-on class covers Copy, Cut and Paste, working with graphics, using drawing and painting tools, and much more. Prerequisites: Kindergarten and 1st Grade.
Computer 3rd Grade for Grownups – Organize your computer! This class provides an understanding of the Windows file management structure including drives, folders and files. Create folders, copy/move files, and delete folders and files. Prerequisites: Kindergarten and 1st Grade.
Computer 4th Grade for Grownups Computer – This class covers using the Windows Desktop to enhance the user’s work environment; Saving files to the desktop, the Recycle Bin, working with folders and shortcut icons on the desktop, how to uninstall apps, using help, search and settings. Prerequisites: Kindergarten, 1st and 3rd Grade.
Computer 5th Grade for Grownups – Learn about the Internet in this slow-paced class for new computer users. Topics include: what’s needed to get started, how to use browser software, how to safely search for information and much more. Prerequisites: Computer Kindergarten and Computer 1st Grade
Computer 6th Grade for Grownups – Learn about e-mail in this slow-paced class for new computer users. Topics include: how to create an e-mail address, create a new mail message, reply to a message and much more. Prerequisites: Computer Kindergarten and Computer 1st Grade.
