Introduction to Windows 11: This hands-on class will provide an understanding of the brand-new operating system Windows 11 from Microsoft. You will learn about new Windows 11 features; how to use the newly redesigned desktop, and the new applications available as well as how to download the free upgrade to your windows computer and much more. Prerequisite – Comfort with your windows computer.
Your Computer: The Possibilities: In this hands-on 4 series class, you will learn how to use your computer to accomplish some of the most popular applications for home use. Prerequisites: Computer Kindergarten® and Computer 1st Grade™ or equivalent.
Session 1: Learn how to write a letter, create a newsletter and make a flyer or sign. Work with and edit text, lay out a letter, format text and work with graphics.
Session 2: Manage your personal finances: learn how to create a check register and format for a bank reconciliation, keep track of investments and expenses and create a simple database.
Session 3: Understand and use Email: learn how to send, receive and forward email, create and use the address book, download and attach files, and more.
Session 4: Learn how to edit the pictures you receive, such as changing size, cropping, adjusting brightness, removing red eye, printing and more.
Setting Up Your New Computer
In this hands-on class, you will learn how to set up your new computer to enhance your work environment. Learn how to create icons and folders on the desktop, use display properties, put files where you need them, understand drives, folder and files, set up and install new programs, remove programs you do not want, use Windows Help, and much more. Prerequisites: Computer Kindergarten for Grownups and Computer 1st Grade for Grownups or equivalent.
File and Folder Management
Organize your computer! Understand the Windows file management structure including drives, and folders and files. Never lose a file again! Prerequisites: Computer Kindergarten for Grownups and Computer 1st Grade for Grownups or equivalent.
Customize Your Windows Computer
Learn how to add and remove apps, how to delete files, use the recycle bin, check available computer space, get help from your windows computer, create shortcuts, and use settings that will make your computer work for you. Prerequisite – Basic computer knowledge
