Registering

To become a registered user of eBay, click the register now button on the home page.

You’ll be taken to a page where you will be asked for name, address, phone number and email address.  This is where you will create your eBay User ID and password.

To use ebay, you must read the User Agreement and check that you agree and accept the terms.

Ebay will send you an email confirming your email address.  Check your email; click on the ebay link in it to finish registering.

You must select a user id.  You will then have to confirm your user id and e-mail to finish the process.

eBay uses SSL.  SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) or SSL encryption is an industry-standard security protocol that transmits users' personal or credit card related information securely and privately over the Internet. SSL provides data privacy, data authentication and message privacy.

By convention, Web pages that require an SSL connection start with https: instead of http:.
