Working with Your Digital Photos
Hands On! You have a digital camera and know how to take pictures, but how do you move the images from the camera to the computer? How do you organize your pictures and edit them? In this class, you will learn the answers to these questions and much more. We will cover using an image editing program that allows you to resize, crop, adjust light levels, and more. Learn how to organize, name and save your pictures. Prerequisites: Computer Kindergarten®, Computer 1st Grade™ and Computer 4th Grade™ or equivalent.
Editing Your Digital Photographs
In this hands-on class, you will learn the basics of using a graphics program. This class will cover editing a photographed image. Included will be editing techniques in cropping, resizing, red-eye removal and much more. Prerequisites: Computer Kindergarten® and Computer 1st Grade™ or equivalent.
Introduction to Photoshop
Become an instant graphic artist by working with images and pictures in Adobe Photoshop. Learn how to alter images including sizing, shaping and coloring. Re-touch, filter and add effects to create works of art or just make your digital photos look the way you want them to. Prerequisites: For intermediate and advanced computer users.
Intermediate Photoshop
Learn intermediate features and editing techniques in Adobe Photoshop including retouching, filters, effects and much more. Prerequisite: Introduction to Adobe Photoshop or equivalent. For intermediate and advanced computer users.
Introduction to GIMP
GIMP is a free image editing program. Learn how to change and improve your digital photos including cropping, resizing, adding special effects and more. Create Photo Greeting Cards
In this hands-on and demonstration class, learn how to copy a photo from your digital camera to your computer, edit the photo using an image editing program, create a greeting card using your photo, specialty fonts, graphics, word art and more. You will also learn how to create an account with an online card store and order Holiday Cards online. Prerequisites: For intermediate computer users.
Post Your Pictures Online
Share your pictures online with your family and friends! In this hands-on class, learn how to copy a photo from your digital camera to your computer, edit the photo using an image editing program, post it on an online picture site such as Flickr or Shutterfly, and send invitations to view your pictures. You will also learn how to create an account with an online photo sharing site. Prerequisites: For intermediate computer users. Note: A strong wifi signal in the conference room is mandatory.
